Juliette also has more than two decades of surfing experience, over ten years of beach lifeguarding, a degree in marine biology and is a mother to five kids.

Mitch has been surfing since 1971 and was a beach lifeguard for the state of California from 1980-1998. He has an Environmental Studies degree and helped start a junior lifeguard program for youth at Manresa State Beach in Santa Cruz.

Camp directors Mitch and Juliette Anderson have been Christian missionaries with Youth With A Mission since 1983. They spend nine months of each year working with youth in Pichilemu, Chile, South America.
